Two 16-year-old were found shot to death in Ensley after the vehicle they were in hit a house.
Gunfire rang out in a west Birmingham neighborhood Sunday night, leaving two 16-year-old males from west Jefferson County dead.
Sgt. Rod Mauldin said West Precinct officers were dispatched to the residence at 5116 Court O in Ensley. When they arrived, they found Jeremiah Collier of Forestdale unresponsive in the passenger’s seat of a vehicle.Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced Collier dead on the scene. Detectives believe Johnson had been in the vehicle with Collier and ran two blocks before collapsing.
A 15-year-old was taken to the hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to the hand. Mauldin said they have not yet confirmed whether the 15-year-old was shot in the same incident.Mauldin said police have limited information at this stage in the investigation.
