Three people have died following a single-vehicle car crash in Yalgoo, Western Australia. Police were alerted to the crash on Geraldton–Mount Magnet Road, just east of the Gabyon-Tardie Road intersection, about 10.50pm Saturday night. Emergency services attended the scene and established that a Toyota Hilux utility had rolled. A woman, believed to be aged in her 20s, and a male infant died at the scene, police said.
One of the four injured people, a woman believed to be aged in her 30s, has since died in hospital. “Three people have lost their lives in tragic, tragic circumstances,” WA Premier Roger Cook said of the “horrible, horrible incident”. “Because of where that situation is, the first responders were largely volunteers,” Cook added. “So, our hearts go out to the families of the victims and the first responders; we thank them for their incredible work.
