Two boys die in horror crash in Morpeth
Emergency services rushed to the A196 near Coopies way at around 12.40am today.A 17-year-old driver and passenger, 16, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Northumberland Police are urging witnesses or anyone with information to call 101, quoting log NP-20230312-0045. A spokesperson for the force said: "Two teenage boys have sadly lost their lives following a collision in the Morpeth area – and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward. "Emergency services attended the scene but sadly, despite the best efforts of paramedics, the 17-year-old old driver of the car and a 16-year-old passenger passed away at the scene.
