Two cats and a kitten have been dumped outside a Northamptonshire RSPCA branch. At around 5pm on Tuesday , a collapsed carrier with three cats was left out in the gateway to the branch in Brixworth, near Northampton, on Creaton Road.
"Please never think this is a safe option for surrendering your pets into rescues. We are in the middle of an animal welfare crisis across rescues in the UK right now and these circumstances are very concerning." The spokesperson said: "The sad fact is, by now taking in these cats, they have taken the spots of three other cats that were due to be coming into care from our waiting lists from other difficult circumstances.
