Emergency services were called to the incident near Dotswood, outside Townsville, just before 1:00pm.It is understood they were driving a MAN HX77 – a heavy multi-purpose tactical truck.Defence Minister Peter Dutton described the deaths as "tragic" and said he was seeking further information about the incident.
