Ferrari has explained the two factors behind its decision not to swap Sainz and Leclerc in the BrazilGP despite having originally agreed to it before the race. F1

Sainz was running in third place, with teammate Leclerc just behind him on the road, as the laps counted down to the chequered flag at Interlagos.

It was a scenario that had been discussed and approved in the morning's strategy briefing, but in the endAfterwards, Leclerc expressed some disappointment that Sainz stayed ahead at the finish.
