A crime scene has been established at a home in Mordialloc after the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside.
The pair, who are yet to be formally identified, were found at the home in James Street, Mordialloc, about 11am on Thursday. They said they were not searching for anyone else after finding the bodies.
“Officers have cordoned off the area and a crime scene has been established,” a police spokeswoman said.Credit:Police wearing blue forensic suits could be seen entering the property, which is only a block away from the Mordialloc foreshore. Neighbour Ange Notta was arriving home from the gym shortly before 11am on Thursday when he heard screaming coming from a nearby street.“It feels weird because nothing ever happens here, ever. It’s a pretty good area,” he said.
While Notta didn’t directly know the people who lived in the unit where the bodies were found, he said that the community were kind to each other.“I couldn’t believe that something like that could have happened here.” Notta and neighbours said that police had been door knocking in the area, asking for any available CCTV footage.
