Two in custody while motorbike rider left fighting for life after crash

Two teenagers are in custody and a man is fighting for life in hospital after a motorcycle and car collided 30 kilometres east of Brisbane.

A motorbike rider is fighting for life in hospital after he was allegedly struck by a stolen vehicle at Wynnum West.Emergency services were called to the intersection of Kianawah and Youngs Roads at Wynnum West about 9.20am on Monday where a 59-year-old man’s motorcycle was allegedly struck by a stolen vehicle.The motorcyclist was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries.

Police established an immediate cordon of the area and a 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy were taken into custody near the scene a short time later. The vehicle involved in the crash was allegedly stolen from a residence in Wynnum West in the early hours of Monday morning.Police are appealing for anyone with further information or dashcam vision of the vehicle, a white 2014 Nissan X-Trail with Queensland registration 433VMK, to come forward.
