Two people were injured and 13 others displaced due to a one-alarm fire that scorched a Richmond District residential building.
San Francisco Fire Department units were called about 9:50 a.m. to the three-story building located at 209 14th Ave., near California Street, according to the department's Cpt. Jonathan Baxter. Two people and one pet cat were rescued from inside the burning building. The two individuals were taken to a hospital in moderate condition for treatment of unspecified injuries, but Baxter said they"will be okay."Firefighters managed to gain control of the blaze by about 11:40 a.m., according to the San Francisco Fire Department.
