Two police officers have been sent to hospital after a wild stabbing attack in Leicester Square just under two kilometres from the Queen-lying-in-state at Westminster Hall.
Met Police confirmed the attack happened around 6am on Friday morning when the pair of officers encountered the man with a knife.

Picture: Getty Images "Taser was deployed and male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker," a statement read.London Mayor Sadiq Khan slammed the knifeman saying it was"utterly appalling" that someone would attack police officers protecting the public.
