Vehicles were targeted in Hamilton, East Kilbride, Shotts, Cambuslang and other towns, Hamilton Sheriff Court heard this week.
Two members of a car theft gang have been jailed after a major police investigation into vehicle crime across Lanarkshire .
Jailing Morrison, Sheriff Linda Nicolson said he had a "significant" criminal record, including convictions for similar crimes. He must do 300 hours of unpaid community work and will be confined to his home every night for six months under an electronic tagging order.He will be supervised for six months and must attend addiction services and do 300 hours of unpaid work.Declan McBride, 22, of Watson Avenue, Stonehouse, admitted stealing two vehicles, on one occasion after breaking into the owner's home and taking the keys.
John Coogan, prosecuting, said one victim was a Domino's Pizza delivery driver who left the keys in the ignition while making a delivery in Elmbank Crescent, Hamilton.In most cases DNA linked the accused to the theft.

Crash on A82 involving two vehiclesIt is unclear whether anyone has been injured during the incident, however, drivers are being urged to approach the area with caution.
