There have been just four cases of dengue fever in the north Queensland city since 2013 following a successful elimination program. "If we have a tourist coming in that has dengue in their blood it could infect one of those mosquitoes." "We know that there is virus activity there and we have detected it in mosquitoes there," Dr Donohue said.
