Two more arrests have been made over the shooting death of Sydney underworld figure Mahmoud 'Brownie' Ahmad last year. The men, both aged 33, were arrested in raids at Clemton Park and Campsie and are assisting police with inquiries. MORE: 9News

Ahmad, 39, was shot on a Greenacre street in the city's south-west on April 27, 2022.

Four men had previously been charged in connection with the alleged gangland shooting, with police announcing two more arrests today.Two men, both aged 33, were arrested in raids at Clemton Park and Campsie this morning.NSW Police will allege investigations into Ahmad's shooting led officers to uncover plans for a separate murder, which was foiled.

"During our investigations, we uncovered evidence that they were planning to commit another murder - we have basically stopped that murder from occurring," Detective Chief Superintendent Jason Weinstein said today.Piles of cash were also uncovered in early morning raids.In the video, a stolen Porsche can be seen driving past the underworld figure before two bursts of gunfire are seen.
