Yet more areas have been placed under the targeted enhanced movement control order for cases related to the Sivagangga cluster.announced that the government has agreed to impose the order on two more localities, this time in Perlis, effective today until Aug 31.

This is after similar restrictions were placed on four sub-district in Kedah on Aug 3, also in relation to the Sivagangga cluster. Ismail said the two areas in Perlis that would be affected are Kampung Kuala Sanglang and Kampung Tanah Timbul in Sanglang, involving 191 houses and 872 residents. The announcement comes following revelation that the Covid-19 cases originating from the Sivagangga cluster in Kedah has now crosses state borders, with 10 new infections reported last Friday alone.
