A passenger from Brooklyn had a 9mm handgun in a backpack on Wednesday and a traveler from Garnerville was found with a similar weapon on Thursday, theTSA agents detected the weapons as the guns passed through an X-ray machine in Terminal B. They called Port Authority police, who seized the guns.
The guns seized this week are the sixth and seventh confiscated at the airport this year. The TSA seized 14 in 2022 and 12 the prior year, according to the agency.he had a gun in his possession.
