Police have launched a probe after the incident happened near the remains of the fire-hit boozer on Himley Road in Dudley, near Birmingham, at around 8.30pm on Saturday. A man and woman were allegedly attacked by a group before they both got in a car and tried to drive away.
The car left the scene but the people inside later contacted police to report the incident. Officers are now appealing for information. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "We’re investigating reports of disorder at the Crooked House on Saturday evening. We understand that a man and a woman were assaulted by a group of people while in the area.
