Police have warned people to stay away from the area
Two people have reportedly died and others were injured after a shooting in Paris.
Police taped off the area in the 10th arrondissement of the French capital, with people warned to stay away. The shooting took place close to a Kurdish cultural centre not far from the Gare de l'Est station, according to reports. The motive for the shooting was not immediately clear and one person has been arrested. A suspect aged 69 was quickly detained by police in connection with the attack, reports the BBC.
Anti-terrorism prosecutors are investigating the shooting but have not indicated any sign of a terrorist motive.
