Two drivers have been hospitalised and traffic is being diverted after two trucks were involved in a fiery crash in Sydney’s northwest. The trucks collided on Bandon Rd and Chapman Rd at Vineyard about 12.30pm on Thursday. One of the drivers, a 50-year-old man, “was ejected from the truck” in the crash and taken to Westmead Hospital with head injuries, according to NSW Police. The other driver was in shock and was taken to Blacktown Hospital as a precaution.
Black smoke was seen billowing from the two trucks, which both caught fire as a result of the crash. Windsor Rd has been closed in both directions. “Motorists from Windsor can use Macquarie St, George St, Richmond Rd, Garfield Rd West and Garfield Rd East to return to Windsor Rd,” Live Traffic NSW said. “Northbound motorists can use the reverse route. This route is not suitable for vehicles over 4.4m in height. “Traffic is heavy.
