Images have emerged of the aftermath of a crash in Victoria which resulted in a teen having his teeth 'knocked out' after a bus slammed into houses following a collision with a truck.

The incident unfolded at about 11am on Wednesday after the bus was hit by a truck at an intersection in Safety Beach.

"The bus continued to career through an adjoining boundary fence and crashed into a house on Dromana Parade causing extensive structural damage," Leading Senior Constable Jody Clayton said, ABC reported. A woman who called into 3AW said it was her son who was taken to hospital. She said he was on the bus heading to work at the time.

The 32-year-old truck driver was not injured in the crash. He is reportedly assisting police with enquiries.
