Two teens were arrested at Thomas Jefferson High, one wanted on an outstanding warrant, the other for attempting to intervene in the arrest, Denver police said.

The teen “attempted to flee,” police said, but was taken into custody by a school resource officer. A sibling, who was also trying to enroll, tried to intervene and was also arrested, police said.Denver Public Schools said a lockdown was in place for about 15 minutes.

“There was no threat to students or staff, the lockdown was made out of an abundance of caution,” said Scott Pribble, a DPS spokesman.
