Two teenagers have been charged with murder after the body of an Uber driver who had been missing for a week was found in Queensland. 9News

Scott Cabrie, 47, had been reported missing to police on February 10 and was last seen on the evening of February 6 at a residence in Toogoom, near Hervey Bay.

His car was located burnt out on February 7 in Pacific Haven, about half an hour west of where he was last seen.Police launched a search that ended yesterday when the 47-year-old's body was found near a boat ramp at Howard.The 17-year-old boy from Pacific Haven was initially charged with one count each of murder, arson and unlawful use of a car.

The 18-year-old from Sunshine Acres has been charged with one count each of murder, unlawful use of a car, arson, armed robbery and deprivation of liberty - unlawfully detain. The 17-year-old was additionally charged with one count of robbery and deprivation of liberty – unlawfully detain.Both have been refused bail to face court today.Investigations into Cabrie's death are ongoing."Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Mr Cabrie's loved ones during this difficult time," the spokesperson said.

"Our law enforcement engagement team is working with the Queensland Police to assist in their investigation, and we are currently reaching out to Mr Cabrie's next of kin to offer our support."Continue reading
