A 16-year-old was critically injured after a gun battle erupted outside a Southeast Side apartment complex on April 14, 2022.Two teenagers were hospitalized in separate shootings early Thursday morning, San Antonio police said.

According to police, a 16-year-old was shot in the neck during a shootout in front of an apartment complex just after midnight in the 500 block of Briggs Avenue on the Southwest Side. The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police said a house and a few vehicles across the street from the apartment complex were hit during the shootout.Police are still searching for the shooter.

Two hours later, police responded to a separate shooting in the 100 block of Emerald Ash, near the SAPD Training Facility on the South Side. According to police, six individuals were drinking at an apartment. When the residents asked them to leave, a fight broke out before one of the individuals pulled out a gun and shot a 17-year-old in the chest.A 16-year-old was critically injured after a gun battle erupted outside a Southeast Side apartment complex on April 14, 2022.
