Two vehicles destroyed in suspicious Normal Heights carport blaze [Breaking]

Two cars were destroyed and a third suffered smoke damage when fire broke out in the carport of an apartment complex in Normal Heights Saturday evening, a San Diego fire official said.

No one was injured in the suspicious blaze and no residents of the apartment building were displaced, San Diego Fire-Rescue Battalion Chief John Fisher told OnScene TV. The Metro Arson Strike Team is investigating the fire, which was reported just before 6:30 p.m. on Wilson Avenue near the corner of El Cajon Boulevard and 35“Units made a very aggressive attack on the fire and were able to knock the fire down and contain it to two vehicles that were destroyed and an additional vehicle with some smoke damage,” Fisher said.
