Cradling her baby boy for the first time, Melbourne mum Brittany Bevan was in awe of her perfect little Louie. But she was also quick to notice her precious newborn had an elongated head. As the first-time mum began to compare Louie’s misshapen skull to those of other children his age, she raised her concerns with doctors. Again and again, they assured her everything was normal. But, as months went by, Brittany couldn’t shake the feeling something was seriously wrong.
Misshapen skull Unsure where to go next, the mum turned to Google. Shocked, she saw multiple cases of children displaying similar misshapen heads to Louie’s. She knew in her gut something wasn’t right. “Taking matters into my own hands, I researched the condition, delving into medical papers and joining Facebook groups to compare Louie’s head with other diagnosed cases,” Brittany explains.
