At least two people have been injured after a truck fire in a troubled underground gold mine in regional Victoria.

Firefighters responded to the incident at Ballarat Gold Mine about 9:30 this morning, finding a small fire in an earth-moving truck. The Country Fire Authority said the flames were contained to the vehicle after about 20 minutes and the scene was declared safe just after 11am, with all workers accounted for.Ambulance Victoria said in a statement that one person was taken to a private hospital in Ballarat and another taken to a different hospital. One patient has been discharged. There is no update on the second person taken to hospital.
