Police officers stopped a 27-year-old man on Hunter Road north of Muswellbrook on June 4 after he was allegedly found to be illegally possessing two young kangaroo joeys.READ MORE:
The kangaroo joeys were allegedly found to be illegally kept by a 27-year-old man in the NSW's Hunter Valley region.The joeys were taken to a wildlife care centre where they received treatment. After police finished searching the vehicle they also found ammunition and firearms, which were seized for forensic examination.He has since been released and is pending further investigation.
The raid the was part of Operation 'Devil Ark' which was established by officers in the Rural Crime Prevention team in the Hunter Valley Police District.Continue reading
