CHICAGO — Tyler Anderson’s string of encouraging outings came to an abrupt end.Anderson lasted just four innings, getting knocked out of the game after a five-run fourth that came immediately after the Angels had given him a two-run lead.
Anderson got into a first-inning jam, but he escaped with only one run on the board, and then he faced the minimum over the next two innings. His first pitch to Andrew Vaughn was a changeup over the outer half of the plate and Vaughn ripped it off the fence in left-center to clear the bases, putting the White Sox ahead, 4-3.Anderson gave up two more runs in the inning, ending his night and ending his streak of good work.
