A 2016 Honda Civic was stolen, as the victim watched and tried to stop the theft, at about 11 p.m. Aug. 12 in the parking lot of Shell, 13030 Brookpark Road.
The victim, an Uber driver, had left his engine running and the keys inside the car while he entered Shell and ordered a drink. Then a Shell worker, using an app on her phone, scheduled an Uber ride with the victim.
The unidentified man accelerated, and the victim flew off the car and fell to the ground. The man drove away. At Brookpark and West 161st, police found a cell phone, belonging to the victim, on the ground. The car was not there.
