UBS has announced a handful of changes in its Australian equities research team.
UBS has promoted Evan Karatzas to co-head its Australian small caps research, in a round of changes announced inside the investment bank this week.UBS told staff Karatzas would become lead analysts in the emerging companies team, after five years analysing sectors including agriculture and mining services.
The recruits also included Laura Sutcliffe, who’s moving from London to Sydney later this year to take up a posting as head of Australian healthcare coverage. Sutcliffe, who has nearly 20 years experience working on the sell-side, is in UBS’ equities research team in London, covering European large cap pharma and biotech stocks.
UBS also picked up Wiliam Wilson, a consultant from PwC, as an associate to cover building materials and steel, and Fraser Noye, a chartered accountant from KPMG, for insurance and diversified financials. co-edits Street Talk, specialising in private equity, investment banking, M&A and equity capital markets. He has 10 years' experience as a business journalist and worked at PwC, auditing and advising financial services companies.
