The University of Central Lancashire is hosting several free community events throughout October for BlackHistoryMonth

The public is invited to a range of events including film screenings, talks and a book launch.

The film is an award-winning American biographical drama that highlights the great achievements of women of colour in science and technology as it tells the story of a group of African American female mathematicians who worked at NASA during the Space Race.On Wednesday 19 October, the University will host the launch event for the new edition of Gretchen Gerzina’s Black England book.
