From food poisoning to national champion: UConn's Jordan Hawkins has celebratory appetite back

Later, whether it was directly related to that meal or to something else, the Connecticut star sophomore spent the night on the floor of his hotel bathroom with intense stomach pains.
"I just won a national championship, I feel great, man," Hawkins said, while talking to reporters on a confetti-covered floor shortly after his"I'm not worried about anything else but this championship and this team." UConn took a double-digit lead midway through the first half and maintained it most of the way until the Aztecs mustered a 14-4 run to cut the Huskies' lead to five with 5:19 remaining. That's when UConn coach Dan Hurley turned to his first-team All-Big East guard from Gaithersburg, Maryland.
