In an update, the army said Russian troops are making efforts to"break through the defences" of Ukrainian forces in the Donetsk region. Russain forces are also continuing efforts to seize the southern city of Mariupol and shelling is ongoing in Kharkiv in the northeast, the military said.Weapons and other equipment arrived at the Kupyansk railway station in the north east from Valuyki station in Belgorod, Russia.
The United States UN ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield has brought the move to the table in response to allegations that Russian forces have killed civilians near Kyiv. Week-long curfew introduced for Hostomel Earlier today, Ukraine's human rights ombudswoman Lyudmyla Denisova said she had been told by witnesses that some of those missing had been killed, although she did not say how many.
