Four Russian military airfields were targeted overnight. A move hailed by President Volodymyr Zelensky as “timely” and “accurate”.
Ukraine said on Wednesday it carried out its largest long-range drone strike of the war on four Russian military airfields overnight, which were hailed by President Volodymyr Zelensky as “timely” and “accurate”.
“Thank you for the accurate, timely, and effective strikes on Russian airfields. Ukrainian drones work exactly as they should,” Zelensky said as he addressed the military on Wednesday. Kyiv’s surge into Russian territory last week caught Moscow by surprise. Russian forces that began a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 had been grinding out steady gains all year.
