While Yevgeny Prigozhin and his deputy were buried in St Petersburg, Russia, the funeral of much-loved Ukrainian pilot"Juice" took place in Kyiv.

The increasing frequency of their deployment in both offensive and defensive operations has"likely degraded" Russia's elite infantry, said the US thinktank. Mr Cleverly said he will argue that with China's global significance comes a responsibility on international security - including helping to end Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine. He will hold talks with China's foreign affairs minister Wang Yi and vice president Han Zheng.

Russian officials have accused a former employee at the US Consulate in the eastern port city of Vladivostok of collecting information about Russian action in Ukraine and related issues on US diplomats' orders. Satellite images gathered by Sky News show six dark objects in a row appearing over a seven-day period. They are similar distances apart. Security and defence analyst Michael Clarke says the use of"block ships" - which are vessels sunk in a strategic place to form a physical barrier - is a"very common" defence strategy, but noted it is the first time we've seen Russia use it since its invasion of Ukraine last February.
