“The Russians said, ‘You, mom, step aside. “Sasha was overjoyed and I was ecstatic. We hugged each other,” she said. They left as quickly as possible, but Lyudmila said she was questioned at length and pressured by security officials in occupied Donetsk to stay. “I had to lie quite a bit,” she said. “It was the only way out.
