Trainer Kris Lees believes the debut winner will benefit from some extra distance at Grafton.
Debut winner Khamis is set to go on with the job when the Kris Lees-trained filly lines up in the Beyond The Valley Music Festival 7 December Benchmark 58 Handicap at Grafton on Tuesday.
“We had a bit of an opinion of her before she made her debut,” Lees said of Khamis. “She’d had a good grounding with a number of barrier trials and she lived up to what we thought she could do at her first start. Mallyon has several good rides at Grafton, including the Matthew Dunn-prepared Majorelle in the Team Aidan Markets @ CRJC 24 November Jacaranda Prelude Benchmark 82 Handicap .
