A United Airlines flight en route from San Diego to Chicago had to divert to Albuquerque after a"mechanical issue with one of its engines" – which one passenger recorded as what look like flames coming out of one of said engines. United confirmed its mechanics evaluated the video and said it showed sparks.
"just diverted UAL flight 366 SAN-ORD to Albuquerque because of flames coming out of the right engine," Chorny, a 43-year-old collegiate track and field coach,."I had to show them the video when we landed because they didn’t know there were flames. Talk to your pilots people!!!" Chorny says"it was very nerve-racking" to watch out the window all the way to the ground."I told one of the flight attendants and he confirmed that they did not know ," he adds."I showed him the video and he called up to the cockpit right away."
