Universal Studios Hollywood announces the opening of immersive Super Nintendo World
Universal Studios Hollywood has announced that the first Super Nintendo World in the United States will officially open inside the theme park in 2023.
Guests visiting the park in recent months could see the construction well underway with the colorful green rolling hills backdrop beginning to take shape within the towering scaffolding and signage featuring Mario and Luigi from the popular Super Mario Bros. Nintendo games on the lower lot, adjacent to Transformers: The Ride-3D.
Though there isn’t an exact date for the grand opening, Universal Studios Hollywood did reveal that the game-theme land will fully immerse guests into the worlds of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Toad and other characters created by Nintendo over the last four decades. The area will be filled with vibrant colors and include a new ride, interactive play areas and themed shopping and dining.
