University of Newcastle students have been put on alert after NSW Health issued another round of exposure sites on Saturday night.
Residents in any block of the International House on Callaghan Campus from Wednesday, July 28 to yesterday are now considered close contacts, after two students staying in the on-campus accommodation tested positive to COVID-19.The university said in a statement online that impacted students, who have been a resident on campus at any time across the past 11 days, will be required to isolate in their apartment block until August 21 - two weeks from today.
Anyone who visited the accommodation across this period however is advised to monitor for symptoms, get tested if they emerge, and isolate until a negative result is obtained.
