It may take a couple of years to complete, but University School’s design proposal for a building expansion at its historic lower campus gained all necessary approvals last month from city oversight boards.
allows the “portable” modular classrooms -- divided into two units -- to remain in place for two years once construction begins.
On a June 6 motion from Planning Commission member Jason Russell, any landscaping remaining that University School officials want to keep will need to come back for further city approval. The three-story construction will keep the layout compact without increasing the Lower University School’s footprint, architect Bob Carroll said.
