ANALYSIS: Unlike other political scandals, the botched hotel quarantine is affecting people's lives
Premier Daniel Andrews has likened Victoria's second wave of the pandemic to a "public health bushfire", a disaster Australians understand all too well.Mr Andrews has led Victoria through back-to-back crisis in 2020, and has done it with aplomb.But in recent weeks the gloss has come off.
The botched handling of hotel quarantine has the potential to be the biggest scandal to rock the Andrews Government since he was elected in 2014. The United Workers Union that represents guards say the inadequate training was a "disaster waiting to happen".
