Olympics: LeBron James has been named as the USA flag bearer for the opening ceremony in Paris.

James had 20 points all up in the win over the World Cup champions in what was their final warm-up before the Olympics, taking their overall record in the exhibition games to 5-0. “It’s an incredible honour to represent the United States on this global stage, especially in a moment that can bring the whole world together,” James said in a statement from the USOPC.
“Sports have the power to bring us all together, and I’m proud to be a part of this important moment.”
