Former rugby league player Peter Wynn says it will be a “good opportunity” for new Parramatta Eels players to feature in the team’s match against the Melbourne Storm.
“We lost a few players from last year in the likes of Reed Mahoney, obviously Shaun Lane is out injured, Ryan Matterson is not playing so there is a few opportunities for players there,” he told Sky News Australia.
“I think when you grow up as a player you wait for the opportunities to come and tonight I’m really happy these new players in the side capitalised on the opportunity and perhaps lay the foundation for another great year for the Eels.”
