Sky News Darwin Bureau Chief Matt Cunningham says he believes the upcoming UK general election will be the “most important election that Britain has had in modern history”. Mr Cunningham said the upcoming UK general election, which will be held on December 12, will be a “tightly run race”.

“I think there are a lot of people, young people in particular, who see some appeal in Jeremy Corbyn and his far-left views,” he told Sky News host Peter Gleeson. Mr Cunningham said he wouldn't trust any opinion polls and their predicted winner of the election until the final votes were counted. “I think polls these days are not worth the paper they’re written on".
