Three people have been arrested after an incident at Sydney’s Jewish Museum.
The streets outside Sydney’s Jewish Museum have been thrown into chaos and three men have been arrested after an incident.Officers were called to Darlinghurst Road in Darlinghurst shortly before midday on Friday where they arrested three men.Authorities have promised to provide more information in the coming hours.
NSW Police have not yet revealed the details about the incident but police cars have lined the streets outside the museum. “While there is no ongoing risk to the public Darlinghurst Road remains closed the public to ongoing inquiries,” a NSW Police spokesperson said. Tensions in Sydney are high as residents voice their support for either side of the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militant group Hamas, with NSW Police committing to keeping the community safe.
“NSW Police are working strongly with all communities to keep them safe and Eastern Suburbs police area command particularly are working with our partners in government, as well as our local community leaders, schools, and synagogues to keep everyone safe,” Detective Superintendent Jodie Radmore said on Thursday.A man who took two hostages in a terrifying siege while dressed in black and carrying a fake bomb has learnt his fate in court.
