Australia’s consumer watchdog is warning parents over a potentially deadly sleeping product following revelations by US regulators it had been linked to dozens of deaths. 7NEWS
The sleeper was first recalled in April 2019 following reports that infants had rolled from their back to their stomach or side while unrestrained, “or under other circumstances,” the commission said.Meanwhile, in Australia, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said in 2019 all Fisher-Price Rock ‘N Play Sleeper and the Kids II Rocking Sleeper models sold in Australia had been voluntarily recalled.
“Consumers who own this product should stop using it immediately and contact Mattel via the details in the recall notice to arrange a refund and instructions to make it unusable,” an ACCC spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.
