The US army will be approached about helping to rebuild the Fitzroy River Bridge in Western Australia’s Kimberley region as floods devastate the region.
The Australian Defence Force is on the ground supporting recovery however the WA government says it is exploring enlisting the aid of the US army which has a higher degree of bridge building experience.
Rapid assessment reveals nearly 350 homes have been completely damaged in what has become the worst flooding disaster WA has ever experienced.
