Cost-cutting measures across the US Postal Service that could have affected the integrity of the presidential election will be shelved until after the poll | FarrahTomazin

Cost-cutting measures across the US Postal Service that could have affected the integrity of the presidential election will be shelved until after the poll.

Trump supporters rally against a law signed by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak to mail ballots to all of the state's active voters ahead of the November election. This means that mail sorting machines and collection boxes will not be removed before the November 3 election; overtime hours will be approved as required; and no mail processing facilities will be closed.

The decision comes after a number of US states had indicated that they would file lawsuits this week against the USPS and DeJoy in a bid to reverse the changes. In response, protesters descended on DeJoy’s home last Saturday and accused him of trying to "dismantle" the organisation to assist the President.
