Using his platform for good: Bradford senior shines on field, in community

Bradford linebacker Chason Clark is working to battle against substance abuse, reach youth through sports

– On any given Friday night at Bradford home football games, you will hear one player’s name at least once from the announcer. Given how well that he’s played, there’s a good chance you’ll hear it over and over again.The senior captain is a starting linebacker and tight end for the undefeated Tornadoes , who have been ranked No. 2 in the News4JAX Super 10 most of the season. Bradford holds the No. 1 seed in Region 2-2S and looks to wrap up an unbeaten regular season on Friday against Suwannee.

Clark’s charity work seeks to raise awareness and combat substance abuse, as well youth outreach through sports. Clark said that mission is personal to him. Clark held a free youth football camp in the summer and said it remains one of the most memorable experiences of his life.
