Thursday, the Mean Green also exposed many of the reasons the Roadrunners rank at the opposite pole of the league standings, stifling UTSA to win 59-48 in the Convocation Center. After hitting 39.6 percent overall Thursday, UTSA remains in the bottom 10 nationally for the year at 39.0 percent from the field and 28.8 percent from 3-point range.

“It’s hard when this season we’ve had so many challenges, and you’re losing,” Czumbel said. “The most important thing is staying together. We haven’t had any fights or anything, and that’s what matters, I think.” “We got to challenge against the best team in the conference, and I think it was a battle,” Czumbel said. “We just came up short, but I still think we showed some fight. We just have to stay together, and that’s all that matters.”
